At the Oakland location, Singh presents curries (lamb, chicken or vegetarian) flavored with extra-ordinary ingredients like pomegranate juice, pistachios, saffron, pine nuts, fresh coconut, onion seeds, paired with breads - tandoor baked or griddle cooked flavored with garlic chive, ginger with jajapenos, spicy potatoes, oriental basil, oregano seeds, fresh baby fennel. Not to miss are the sizzling tandoori specialties which include a choice of lean pork chops, free-range chicken breast, Atlantic salmon or jumbo prawns marinated over-night in a home blend of spices, yoghurt, lemon, olive oil and then baked in an indian clay oven.

We emphasize outreach to children in low-income communities that do not typically have wide access to the arts.

MOCHA serves more than 30,000 children each year, in five program areas:

We have been recognized both locally and nationally for our program excellence and have established a reputation for quality, sustainability and dedication. PieTisserie offers unique takes on classic pies, made with whole, fresh and frequently local, organic ingredients.

PieTisserie began after Oakland resident Jaynelle St. Jean staged a window of her mother’s home as an iconic county window, with homemade pies set out to cool. Compelled to create her own small town in the city, she gave away slices to passersby willing to eat with neighbors. Jaynelle launched, PieTisserie, making it her mission to fill the need for unique and delicious pies, and to remind people of the importance of pleasant surprises coos to home via her Random Acts of Sweetness.
